Ritual Coffee
Ritual Coffee was founded in San Francisco, CA in 2005. Today, they have several cafe locations in addition to a supportive wholesale program. We chose Ritual for their dedication to not only quality, but to kindness, approachability, and fun. We may have also felt drawn to the fact that they, too, have a woman founder.
Spirit Tea
Spirit Tea is a Chicago-based tea company that sources less common teas from around the world. To them, enjoying quality tea in its purest form is about being present and feeling connected to the tea plants. We find that their passion for the present moment, healing qualities of plants, relationships and being gentle on the environment fit our philosophy like a glove.
Feve
Feve is an artisan chocolatier based out of San Francisco, CA. They are a four-time winner of the Good Food Award which celebrates taste and social responsibility. We love that Feve sources non-GMO grade cacao, and chooses to work only with suppliers who set a higher standard for farmers’ wages than Fair Trade agreements. Having received micro-financing themselves, Feve allocates a portion of their net profits to micro-loans that improve the lives of farmers in the cacao trade. Their truffles are equally flavorful as they are dazzling to the eye, and we could not be more pleased to give them a home in Santa Cruz.
Dandelion Chocolate
Dandelion Chocolate is also a phenomenal chocolate maker out of San Francisco with their different approach. They make two-ingredient (cacao and organic sugar) single-origin chocolate bars - meaning each bar uses cacao from just one region. Think wine or specialty coffee. The result is unique, flavor-complex chocolate that varies region to region, or in this case bar to bar. We love that Dandelion is dedicated to ethical partnerships and knowing where their ingredients come, and we are delighted to share the engaging, immersive experience of tasting single-origin chocolate.
